Club members also meet on the 1st Friday of each month at a local pub for the clubs monthly "Pint & Chat" event, aimed at providing a relaxed setting to simply relax with friends and enjoy a chat about anything from Radio, Rockets, Caving to Treasure Hunting theres always something diffent to talk about. For those keen to get talking on the air, the club also offers an informal Club Net which is held each Thursday starting at 21:30 and can be found on the 2m FM band 145.475Mhz

Due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic, NDARC took the decision at the start of March to pospone all face to face meetings until further notice. The club however is still very much active during this time in a number of ways.
We are still hosting our weekly clubnet on a Thursday evening starting at 21:30 on 145.475Mhz. Our Facebook group is as busy as ever keeping members entertained and connected at this time.
Moving forward with the uncertenty surrounding the current lock down period, the club is considering options to resume some meetings remotely. So if your interested in learning more or attending a meeting at the present time, please drop us a email initially so we can better advise you.
For anyone wishing to undertake their Amateur Radio Exam at the present time, the RSGB are now allowing online examination with remote invigilation. Anyone who wishes to sit their exam under the remote exam system is requested to initially contact the club and speak to the exam secretary who will assist with the exam application process. NDARC is happy to assist any amateur in the region with this who wishes to sit their exam at any level. The online remote invigilation procedure is currently available for all licence exams. The requirement for the Foundation and Intermediate practial assessment are no longer required, although at Foundation level we would recommend a short session on operating techniques with an experienced licenced operator.
